Terms & Conditions

When a student enrols in SJ Dance Company classes the parent/guardian and dancers (age 18+) must agree and comply with our terms and conditions. These are to insure our customers have a clear understanding of policies and procedures. If you do not comply, enrollment will be refused. (These terms and conditions may be subject to change at anytime and customers will always be made aware of the changes and have full access to our current t&cs.)


(1)Fees and Refunds 

  1. All class fees will be withdrawn and paid to SJ Dance Company on the 1st of every month.
  2. Fees run on a month to month basis and will be calculated over the weeks we are operating and divided by the months of the year. 
  3. No refunds are given for dance services missed during a particular term, unless it is at the sole discretion of SJ Dance Company.


(2)Payments

  1. Class must be paid in full prior to attending class.
  2. All fees must be paid upon registration via the ClassForKids link. 
  3. SJ Dance Company do NOT accept cash or cheque payments. All payments must be made in accordance with Claus 2.2.


(3)Late Payment 

  1. If for whatever reason, you fail to meet the payment deadline. You will be charged a £5 late fee each week on top of your monthly payment.


(4)Register, attendance & absence

  1. A register will be taken at the start of every class for health & safety reasons, this will be taken by the teacher. 
  2. If a student is absent for 4 weeks+ consecutively due to unforeseen circumstances or poor health, the students fees can be refunded when a doctors note or appropriate documentation is provided to the company. 
  3. If a class is cancelled due to staff sickness, or any other unforseen circumstances no refund will be given, however, class will be rescheduled for another day or lost hours will be made up. 
  4. During holiday periods, classes may be subjected to low numbers. In this case we may combine classes, and we will always notify you via email or phone call. It is your responsibility to read & respond. 


(5)Cancelation or Changes

  1. In the event of having to change your subscription, a 30 day notice must be emailed and verbally discussed with SJ Dance Company prior to the change. 
  2. No refunds will be given when dropping a class if the company has not been given 30 days notice.
  3. If fees are due within 30 days notice, this must be paid in full. 


(6)Uniform

  1. Uniform is a mandatory requirement for ALL classes, for both healthy & safety reasons and hygiene purposes. 
  2. Having a uniform allows everyone to feel involved & bring equality to the class. 
  3. All students MUST wear the appropriate uniform and footwear for their chosen class. Please see teacher or check the uniform guide for further information. 


(7)Code of Conduct 

  1. Our goal is to provide a fun, yet safe environment for your child. We expect all our dancers to show respect within the company, to themselves, staff & their peers. 


You will see our staff enforcing the following rules: 


  • Be prepared & on time for class


  • Hair must be pulled back off the face of the dancer (see teacher for appropriate hairstyle) 


  • Visit the bathroom BEFORE class starts


  • No Mobile phones during class, students are allowed to use them at their leisure before & after class.


  • No chewing gum during class time


  • Bring positive energy to your class, and be open to trying new things even if it’s something you haven’t done before. 


  • If late to class, apologise & ask if you can join.


  • After class, make sure to layer up and not go outside in just your dance clothes, especially in cooler weather. It is important to control your cool down after class.


  • Our classes enforce a NO BULLYING policy and will not tolerate it under any circumstances. Everyone deserves the right to feel safe and comfortable and we want our classes to be a place for just that. 


  • If for any reason we feel that either a child or their responsible adult is breaching our company etiquette we have the right to terminate the child’s subscription or dismiss an adult from the building.


(8)Wavier

  1. Safety is our main objective, but any activity involving motion i.e dance has a chance of accidental injury. As the parent or legal guardian of the child, upon registration, you give them permission to take part in our classes and other activities and accept all risks associated with SJ Dance Company. I understand that SJ Dance Company are not responsible for accidents or injuries. 
  2. If you have any underlying injuries or illnesses please seek medical advice before attending any of our services.
  3. SJ Dance Company are not reliable for lost, damage or stolen belongings. All dancers are held responsible for their own belongings.
